Soccer: AFC's good start

AFC Sudbury made a good start to the season in the British gas Southern League Midland division, winning 2-1 at Malvern on Saturday with goals from James Rowe and Gareth Heath.
They followed this with a 2-2 home draw with Aylesbury on Tuesday, both goals coming from Rowe.
In the FA Cup extra preliminary round Cornard United beat Whitton United on penalties in Tuesday night's replay after a 3-3 draw.
On Saturday Hadleigh United lost 1-0 at home to Great Yarmouth, Long Melford went down 5-2 at home to Boston Town, but Halstead Town beat London APSA 4-1.
