AFC Sudbury keeper Dave Walton pulled a calf muscle playing for the Reserves on Wednesday, and will be out of action for around three weeks.
Paul Catley plays in the opening game of the season at Malvern on Saturday, but is then away for two weeks.
Mananger Nicky Smith, who returned from holiday today (Thursday), had intended to play Walton during Catley's absence, but is now hunting for a keeper in time for Tuesday night's home game against Aylesbury United.
