JAMIE Moul, who is bidding to break into the professional game, made the third round of the Europro Tour event at Stoke-by-Nayland, which was won by Manchester-based Nicky Harris with a total of 208.
Moul, playing on his home course, finished on 221 (73, 73, 75). He made the cut easily, despite a double bogey on the par five 16th in his second round.

He was one under at the turn in his final round, but dropped two shots at the tenth.

Another double bogey at the 12th and a bogey at the 13th followed, but he pulled back a couple of shots with birdies at the 14th and 15th, before dropping another shot at the last to end five over for the tournament.

Stoke-by-Nayland amateur Liam Brace, representing the Sports Academy, shot a first-round 80, which put him out of contention. Despite a good second round 73 he failed to make the cut.

Nicky Harris (Whitefield GC) with 208 (72, 69, 67) finished one shot ahead of Jamie Harris (Nevill GC) 209 (70, 71, 68) to pick up the £10,000 first prize. Third place went to Matthew Ford (Marriott Tudor Park) on 212 (71, 69, 72).

There is a two-hour highlights programe on Sky Sports 1 and 2 on Wednesday, July 9.
