I AM writing to thank everyone who was involved in the Wild West Show at the Delphi Club. The weather was fantastic and, despite the criticism levelled at the event by Mr Sutherland (Letters, June 19) I feel the event was a huge success, so much so we are planning to hold another next year, on an even bigger and better scale.
In responding to some of Mr Sutherland’s comments I would like to point out that the rodeo bull was in fact a full-sized version, users had to be over 10 years of age. The line-dancers decision to remain in the club building was their own. They had declined a suggestion by me to perform outside and I had to respect that decision.

As this was the first time we have held an event of this nature it would be nice to have some feedback from Free Press readers. Feedback can be left by visiting either www.sudbury towncouncil.co.uk or www.thedelphi club.co.uk, or by writing to me at the town hall.

One of the things I would like to do in future is provide more entertainment in the arena and more things for the children around the field. Therefore, if any readers, including Mr Sutherland, know of anyone associated with entertainment that would suit a Wild West show I would be very pleased to hear from them.
