One of the biggest vintage rallies in the country happens this weekend at Melford Hall.
This year's event promises to be one of the most impressive yet – to celebrate the 40th year of the Farm Machinery Preservation Society and the 25th year of the show.

Ron Mansfield, society member, said: "This year there will be well over 100 classic cars on show, 80 tractors, 50 lorries and more than 40 military vehicles in the grounds.

"With the chance to take helicopter flights over the area, lots of displays and over 60 stalls, it will be a very impressive show."

An auction on Saturday afternoon gives enthusiasts the chance to sell equipment, engine parts, farm machinery, books and more.

Motorcycles, static steam engines and a display by the Essex and Suffolk Kite Flyers are also included in the two-day event, held to raise money for Macmillan Nurses. Gates open each day at 10am.

Admission Saturday: adults £5, concessions £4, children £2.50. Sunday: adults £6, concessions £5, children £3. Weekend pass (caravan and two persons) £25.
