Children from Monks Eleigh Primary School took over the streets of the village on Monday to showcase their new circus skills
The youngsters spent a day learning about the circus, trying their hand at juggling and other tricks in a big marquee.

They then showed off what they had learned by staging a parade.

"It was a fantastic day. The children were singing, dancing and juggling and a lot of villagers came out to watch," said headteacher Jane Taylor. "We finished with the parade which everyone really enjoyed.

The event was organised to promote plans for a new community school hall to replace the village hall.

Mrs Taylor said: "The village hall is in a poor state and is not in a condition to be repaired. It is coming to the end of its life and the village would like a community school hall to replace it."

Parish councillors intend to sell the village hall site and use the money to help fund the new building.
